The M1A is an American rifle introduced in 1974. It has been used on Season Two and Season Five of Top Shot.

The M1A rifle was brought back during Proving Ground of the Season Five episode "Zip or Ship". In it, the five remaining contestants had to fire one shot at a target from 200 yards. The two farthest from the center would go to the Elimination Challenge.
