The International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) is an international organization that promotes the sport of practical shooting around the world. It was founded in Columbia, Missouri in 1976.
While IPSC is an international organization, countries have their own shooting organizations under the IPSC. For example, the United States Practical Shooting Association in the US.
